One day Jeff & I took a walk around Cockburn Town. I'm not sure why I
took this picture. Probably to show the dichotomy between the natural
splendor of the island and the poverty under which the locals live.
This picture is of the big salt pond in the middle town. There used
to be a big salt mining operation, but that is long gone. All that is
left are some stagnant, smelly ponds and the decrepid structures
surrounding them.
Later on the same walk we encountered a game of Cricket. We sat and
watched for awhile, even though we pretty much had no idea what
was going on!
